The Cities of Kirkland and Redmond, WA joined forces to battle the local effects of the pandemic, and to give small businesses and the tourism industry a boost. The Stay Eastside program was designed to bring real economic results to small business owners, to benefit independent local tourism industries, and to showcase the esteemed Eastside for staycationers.

The Stay Eastside program came to an official close as of July 1st, 2022.

Redmond has more than a thousand acres of open spaces—miles of trails for walking, hiking, and biking, plus golf courses and dog parks.

Located just east of Seattle, the vibrant communities of Kirkland and Redmond feature a myriad of world-class shopping, casual & fine dining options, and a wide array of indoor and outdoor activities.

At the north end of Lake Sammamish, Redmond is nestled in a picturesque valley, with expansive parks, endless trails, and access to a multitude of outdoor activities. Earnest residents and visitors head to Redmond Town Center to explore over 110 shops, restaurants, and entertainment experiences.

Kirkland is located on the eastern shores of Lake Washington—a vibrant waterfront destination with an unparalleled blend of outdoor recreation, art, dining, and boutique shopping. Kirkland hosts an active repertoire of annual gatherings, including art openings and musical performances, athletic games and events. Local wine festivals and outdoor concerts are popular year-round.
